Special Order Frequently Asked Questions
What flavors do you make each day?
Every day, we make Chocolate, Vanilla and Red Velvet. The rest of the selection for the day is selected based on:
-Special Orders we are making for the day
-Selections we have made to keep a variety of flavors available
-The time of year (availability of seasonal fruit, holidays, etc.)
Do you make certain flavors on certain days?
Our variety of cupcakes will be different each day, except for our Standards (Red Velvet, Chocolate, Vanilla) which are available every day.
Do you make mini-size cupcakes?
Yes! However, we only make them for special orders and normally DO NOT have them available for individual purchase in our shop. When we do have special orders for them, we tend to make a few extra so every once in a while you may see them for sale in the shop.
Why do you need 72 hours notice for Special Orders?
Because of our very large variety of flavors, we need ample notice to ensure we can make the flavors requested for an order. We only make a certain number of flavors each day to ensure we can offer all of them as early as 11:00 AM, when our shop opens.
What if I cannot give 72 hours notice?
You can place an order less than 72 hours before the pick-up date, as long as you are willing to order a Baker’s Choice, which is a staff-selected assortment of flavors available that day. You may select flavors you do not want added to your order, but you may not select specific quantities of specific flavors.
How can I get the most variety for my Special Order?
You can select two flavors per dozen on any full size cupcakes and one flavor per dozen on any minis for your Special Order, if you want a specific flavor on a specific day. To get the most variety, you can order a Baker’s Choice, which is a staff-selected assortment of the flavors we bake for the day.
If I give 72 hours notice, can I get any flavor?
As long as the flavors for the day are not already selected, you may select from any of our over 130 flavor options. The day’s selection is based on a first-come, first-served basis, so any order placed previously may have already selected flavors for that day. Saturdays, specifically, are often booked weeks or months ahead of time, usually by weddings. You may still order cupcakes on any day, but you will have to select from flavors already scheduled. Your best bet is to place your order as soon as possible. We can (and do) book orders well over a year in advance so the sooner you place your order the better the chance you can get exactly what you want.
I called to place my order more than 72 hours in advance, but I was unable to pick the flavors. Why did this happen?
We only bake a certain number of flavors each day. The day’s selection is based on a first-come, first-served basis, so any order placed previously may have already selected flavors for that day. Saturdays, specifically, are often booked weeks or months ahead of time, usually by weddings. Your best bet is to place your order as soon as possible. We can (and do) book orders well over a year in advance.
What is your cancellation policy?
If you need to cancel your order and it is outside of the 72 hour window, you will receive a full refund. If you need to cancel your order and it is within 72 hours of the order pick up day, you will receive store credit for the amount you already paid.
